CREWS were fighting a ‘severe’ flat fire in Belbroughton overnight.
Two Hereford and Worcester Fire and Rescue Service crews – one each from Bromsgrove and Wyre Forest Fire Stations – were called at 9:43pm on Tuesday (December 2) to a building fire on Hackmans Gate Lane.
There was severe fire and smoke damage to a second floor flat consisting of five rooms.
The fire was extinguished by two firefighters wearing breathing apparatus and using one hosereel jet.
Positive pressure ventilation was used to clear smoke.
There were no casualties and no other emergency services were required.
At 1.09am, the fire service left the scene.
