THE COLD weather of the bank holiday weekend did not cool the enthusiasm of residents living in Meadowfield Road, Rubery, who held their own Grand Easter Egg Competition.
Participants were urged to ‘hunt down the letter to make the phrase’, a hunt the symbol and a colouring competition for younger players.
Many houses decorated their gardens/porches or hedges with wonderful Easter-themed creations and prizes were awarded on bank holiday Monday.
Emma Clarke, who sent us these pictures, said: “Once again, Meadowfield Road have risen to the occasion – we have wonderful neighbours and our Easter festivities allowed us to have some fun whilst still socially distancing.
“The children loved hunting for the hidden letters in different drives which spelt out an Easter phrase when completed.
“Many children went to great time and trouble to design wonderful Easter bonnets which managed to stay on despite a strong wind.”
