Covid vaccines available at walk-in event at Artrix this weekend

PEOPLE who have not yet had their Covid jab can get the vaccine at a walk-in clinic at Bromsgrove’s Artrix this weekend.

Anyone 18 or over who has not had a vaccination yet can go along between 9am and 5pm on Saturday, July 10, and from 9am to 1pm on Sunday, July 11.

Public Health in Worcestershire, together with NHS Herefordshire and Worcestershire Clinical Commissioning Group and Bromsgrove District Council are working to help people get their first vaccination where they haven’t been able to already.

Dr Kathryn Cobain, Director of Public Health for Worcestershire said: “Across Worcestershire, our vaccine programme has been really successful, the numbers of people taking up the offer of a vaccine have been positive.

“We are so grateful to everyone who has come forward so far across the county.

“I am so thankful to our local NHS partners who have once again joined with us to put on a walk-in clinic at the Artrix.

“This should make it easier for our younger residents to get their first vaccine, as they can just drop by and be seen.

“Clinics like these make it much easier and more convenient for people to come forward and to get vaccinated. Vaccination is so important, not only as it protects the person receiving the vaccine, but it also helps to protect their loved ones and local residents.”

Simon Trickett, Chief Executive Officer for NHS Herefordshire and Worcestershire CCG said: “As the nation gears up for the removal of Covid restrictions later in July, it is more important than ever that all adults get their vaccine, to protect themselves and those around them.

“I am thankful to all partners and volunteers who are supporting by taking part in the ‘Grab a Jab’ weekend.”

This walk-in clinic is part of a nationwide initiative happening over this weekend called ‘Grab a Jab Walk-In Weekend’, giving those who haven’t already had their first vaccination an opportunity to do so.

Booking prior to attending the clinic is not needed but you will need photo ID to confirm you are over 18, to receive a vaccination.

The on-site team can find your NHS number if you bring this documentation.

You don’t need to be registered with a GP to access the vaccination
