A NEW look website to help youngsters find apprenticeships in Worcestershire has been launched by the county council.
The Worcestershire County Council (WCC) apprenticeship website has received a makeover in the aim of improving user experience and helping kickstart careers for young people in education and employment.
Users will be able to create a personalised account, express interest in specific apprenticeships and connect them directly with relevant training providers.
Details on the new Worcestershire Apprenticeships bursary – a grant of £500 available to eligible youngsters aged 16 to 24 – can also be found on the website.
The bursary can help towards initial costs associated with starting an apprenticeship such as travel, buying equipment or essentials.
Apprenticeships from a wide range of employers across different sectors can be found across Worcester, Evesham, Redditch, Bromsgrove, Droitwich, Malvern and more.
Judy Gibbs, head of skills and investment at WCC said: “We’re really excited about the new-look Worcestershire Apprenticeships website.
“It gives people a vibrant, user-friendly platform to discover and pursue their dream apprenticeships along with tailored resources designed to empower them.
“It’s the place to log onto whether you’re a prospective apprentice, an employer, a school, a parent, or a carer wanting to know more about apprenticeships.
“It will make it easier than ever for young adults to explore all the apprenticeship opportunities across our county, plus it showcases the fantastic WA Bursary.
“As WA gears up for its tenth anniversary next year our new website symbolises a bright, bold move forward, and reflects our commitment to the future of apprenticeships and providing the best possible support to the Worcestershire community.”
