THERE will be plenty of festive fun and entertainment at the Rubery Christmas lights switch-on when it returns on Saturday, November 29.
The event runs from 3pm to 5.30pm at the usual venue outside the Co-op on New Road and it promises an afternoon of festive fun for all ages.
Entertainment will include live music from the Snow Sisters and Viva La Diva, alongside carol singers and more.
Visitors can enjoy food, beverage, and Christmas stalls, perfect for picking up seasonal treats and gifts.
Bromsgrove District Council leader, Coun Karen May, said: “Join in with an afternoon of music, magic, and merriment as Rubery lights up for Christmas.
“It is a wonderful tradition that brings our communities together, to bring in the festive season, with something for everyone to enjoy.”
Father Christmas will also be making a special appearance with his sleigh, delighting children and families as the countdown to the switch on, and Christmas, begins.
This event is supported by Bromsgrove District Council in partnership with local communities.
Ward member for Rubery South, Coun Esther Gray, said: “A huge thank you to Tony Maslen from Rubery Festival and everyone in our community who’s working hard to make our switch-on possible.
“Your efforts help bring festive cheer to Rubery as we kick off the countdown to Christmas.”
Ward member for Rubery North, Coun Peter McDonald, added: “I am delighted to see this event return to the streets of Rubery.
“I know our residents look forward to it each year and I hope as many people as possible turn out to enjoy it once again this year.”
