THE COUNTDOWN to the big Christmas lights switch-on in Rubery takes place tomorrow (Saturday, November 26).
Outside the Co-Op, there will be festive fun, street theatre acts and live performances between 2.30pm and 5pm when the village and the Primrose Hospice’s Lights of Love Tree will be illuminated by Father Christmas.
Among the performers taking to the stage will be Michelle Roberts and Charley Thompson.
Tony Maslen, who has helped organise the event along with Bromsgrove District Council, said he was hoping for a similar response to previous years where there had been bumper turn-outs.
“We are hoping everyone will come down, enjoy the festive fun and kickstart Christmas in Rubery.”
