THE CHAMBER was swapped for the catwalk when Bromsgrove District Council hosted a charity fashion show for the Primrose Hospice.

The event was organised by the authority’s executive support officer Sharon Chaplin on behalf of council chairman Coun Rod Laight.

The manager of the town’s M and Co Jan Everett sorted out more than 20 models, including a toddler and other youngsters.

In the audience were council leader Karen May, councillors Shirley Webb and Jo Till and former chairman Caroline Spencer.

It also received the Court Leet’s approval with bailiff Dr Bill Tucker and his wife going along to support the event.

Coun Laight, chairman of the Primrose Trustees, outlined the tremendous work undertaken by the hospice, caring for patients with life-threatening illnesses and their families which often needed counselling and support.

The two-hour show earned rapturous applause for the models who paraded together at the end.
