Could you offer one of these pets at Bromsgrove's Blue Cross a loving home this Christmas?

Bromsgrove Editorial 18th Dec, 2018

RESIDENTS are being urged to give a cat or a dog a new home for Christmas by Bromsgrove’s Blue Cross animal rescue centre, writes Ryan Smith.

The charity will be open up until Christmas Eve in the hope it can find owners for some of the pets residing there.

The Blue Cross rehomes thousands of animals a year, but some in its care have been without a home for over 100 days.

Bromsgrove’s centre manager Neil Edwards said: “While we try and give all the pets in our care the best Christmas possible with a special dinner, most of them do not enjoy kennel life and would much rather be next to a cosy fire and enjoying the festive season with a family of their own.

“For those having a quiet family Christmas it may be a good time of year to take on a pet.”

Here are three pets currently looking for a home:

Poor Carran has been homeless for over 100 days. She is a stunning girl who loves nothing more than mucking about with her toys followed by a snuggle on the sofa.

Beautiful Bella is a three-year-old domestic short hair cat with unusual colouring. Her favourite thing is food so will be your best friend with a tasty treat.

Rocco is a one-year-old mastiff cross staffy. His favourite past time is chilling out and snuggling up with people pals. He is looking for a home with a big sofa for cuddles.
