THE MANAGER of a new state-of-the-art care home in Cofton Hackett has asked residents to name their soon-to-be-finished bar and salon.
Cofton Park Manor Home will be opening later this summer and is currently recruiting staff to help them to offer residential, dementia and nursing care.
Home manager Kerry Hill has worked in care for over 25 years and wants to ensure that there is a community feel in the home, starting with letting local people name the bar and salon.
The person who chooses the winning name will get the chance to visit the home as a VIP alongside receiving a bottle of bubbly and a hamper.
The home also asked local school children to name the cafe.
Kerry said: “We cannot wait to welcome our new residents and we are busy ensuring everything is perfect for them – and that includes the right name for the bar and salon.
“These will be areas people can enjoy and relax, either by themselves or with friends and family.
“They can be named after famous local people or have a purely historical context and of course, someone may suggest a purely fun name to reflect what these rooms are all about.
“We can’t wait to hear people’s ideas, so please do get in touch.”
