CHILDREN from The Orchards School in Sidemoor coronation celebrations included the burying of a time capsule in honour of King Charles III.
Plenty of pomp and circumstance was provided by Bromsgrove Town Crier Kevin Ward.
Pupils, parents and staff enjoyed an afternoon of celebration, dressed in their best Buckingham Palace Garden Party attire.
Events included afternoon tea, seed planting and the time capsule ceremony.
Headteacher Mrs Rumney was delighted with the event.
She said: “We are always proud of our Orchards children, and today has been no exception.
“This event, driven by the children, as represented by their School Council, has involved everyone from nursery to year four.
“The ideas have been theirs, and they have worked hard to make it succeed.
“They truly do embody our school values of Pride, Enjoyment, Achievement and Respect.
“You only have to listen to them sing, or cry ‘God save the King!’ to know how much they have enjoyed recognising this historical moment.
“Moreover, it is wonderful to see the additional sense of awe and majesty that having Mr Ward has brought to the event.”
