MORE than 100 people turned out to a ‘come and sing’ event in Longbridge centred around Joseph and His Amazing Technicolour Dreamcoat.

Hosted by the Northfield Notes community choir, participants learnt the songs from Tim Rice and Andrew Lloyd Webber’s classic musical and a performance was staged the same evening.

Choir manager Janice Paine said: “It was an amazing and uplifting event – many who came along had never sung before so it was wonderful to be able to share what we enjoy with others.

“We hope by introducing people to music and song in the local community they will be encouraged to get involved and enjoy all the benefits it brings – meet new friends, learn a new skill, and simply make you feel better.”

Northfield Notes Community Choir meet every Thursday in term-time from 6.30pm to 8.00pm at Holloway Hall, Ley Hill.

The choir welcomes anyone over the age of 12 to join it.
