Community groups across Bromsgrove urged to apply for their share of district council's £10,000 funding

Bromsgrove Editorial 24th Mar, 2022   0

GROUPS, charities and voluntary organisations across Bromsgrove are being urged to bid for their share of £10,000 to pay for projects which combat issues affecting their community.

The funding – which can be up to £1,000 per group – comes from the district council’s Equality Small Grants Scheme.

The deadline for applications is April 13 and the project must be delivered by March 23, 2023.

The approval process will take place in May, with funds being made available by June 1.

Bromsgrove District Council leader, Coun Karen May, said: “The voluntary and community sector provides valuable services to our residents and the district, and we are pleased to support small projects that can make a big difference.

“As Covid guidance is now much more relaxed, we hope lots of groups will apply to help our communities get back to some form of normality.

She urged groups to get in touch

“If you or your group could benefit from this kind of funding please do get in touch.”

In the past, funding has benefited a wide range of under represented groups, including older people, young people, men, women, those with a disability, the LGBT community and different race and religious groups – helping them enforce positive change.
