TWO COMMUNITY champions have been chosen to pour the first pints at a Wychbold pub which has reopened after a £160,000 revamp.
Rick Deller and Tracy Williams were selected to ‘do the honours’ at The Crown.
Rick is a local councillor and avid member in the community for organising litter picks and starting up the local baby bank. Tracy is a core member of the village who works with troubled children and, since lockdown, has provided families in the area their own Easter bunny.
The pub has seen the introduction of new decor, stylish lighting, new seating and more, along with an updated bar.
Owners Marston’s has also invested in team training and ensured the venue has kept its traditional village pub feel.
The Crown is ideally situated for a drink or meal before or after a walk round the nearby Stoke Prior Circuit or Hanbury Woods.
The Crown is a family-friendly pub and is home to a 15 room hotel. The new look is aimed at suiting all occasions, from casual lunches to special celebrations and a new dartboard and updated pool table have also been installed.
New general manager, Keiran McAteer, said everyone was so excited to reopen the doors and show off the £160,000 refresh.
