Communities come together to produce guide for people with dementia

Bromsgrove Editorial 8th Oct, 2019   0

THE dementia friendly communities of Bromsgrove and Redditch have teamed up with Home Instead Senior Care to produce a guide for people, giving support, services and activities for those living with the condition and their families.

Live Well with Dementia provides information on undergoing diagnosis and details of resources and support locally, including dementia cafes, carers support and condition-friendly activities.

The Dementia Friendly Community group works to raise awareness of the condition and the team has delivered numerous sessions in the two towns.

At the start of this year Home Instead’s community development officer, Zoe Mucklow, partnered with Redditch-based Victoria Plum’s Kitchen to establish a dementia-friendly community café on the last Monday of every month.
