BROMSGROVE climate activists took to the streets, raising awareness about air pollution levels in the town.
The pollution along the Worcester Road is more than twice that is required by the World Health Organisation.
The activists gave away 100 balloons to children at St Peter’s and Finstall First schools with ‘clean air’ written on them.
As well as handing out flyers and recommending tips such as turning car engines off and using electric cars and walking more often.
Another of the flyers from ‘Mums for Lungs’ showed how air pollution affects our body’s organs, particularly those of young children, saying that one in 11 children now suffer from asthma.
Activists walked near the road and told pedestrians that on average 17,000 vehicles travel along it every day.
The group are urging people to contact Bradley Thomas MP and Worcestershire County Council to make your views on the situation known.
