Clent Hills Vets reopens its Rubery practice

Bromsgrove Editorial 11th Jul, 2020   0

A POPULAR veterinary practice has reopened its surgery following a temporary three-month closure during the Coronavirus pandemic.

Clent Hills Vets was compelled to close its Rubery practice in March due to Covid-19, just three years after first opening at the end of February 2017.

In response to Government safety guidelines the veterinary group decided to consolidate its team and deliver frontline services for pets from its larger Bromsgrove base.

The Bromsgrove practice became a central hub for handling emergency treatment and delivering essential care for clients across the group, which also includes a practice in Hagley.

Clent Hills Vets in Rubery, on New Road, is now open on Mondays, Tuesdays, and Fridays from 10am until 6pm.

It is also open during these times on Thursdays, for collection of medication, food orders etc.

Walk-ins will only be allowed in cases of emergency, so people are advised to contact the practice to book an appointment.

Safety measures have been put in place to help stop the spread of Covid-19 – fewer people at any one time will be allowed at the practice, perspex screens have been installed, staff have full PPE, a more intensive cleaning regime has been introduced and hand gel is available.

In some cases telephone consultations will be used to help reduce the number of people and pets in the building.

When inside the practice pet owners should wear a mask or face covering, use the hygiene gel provided, and adhere to social distancing measures.

Vet Will Trewarman, who heads the Rubery practice, said: “We may not shake your hand on arrival, and we may be wearing a mask, but we’re still the same compassionate and caring team with decades of knowledge and expertise between us, and your pets will still benefit from a wide variety of services, and our love.

“We’re delighted to be able to welcome you again, here in Rubery.”

If your pet is due for their next health check or vaccination, or if you are looking for local, expert advice if your pet is unwell call the Rubery practice on 0121 516 0301 or visit clenthillsvets.co.uk to book an appointment.
