CLENT Hills Vets will hold its latest Pet First Aid event at in Bromsgrove on Tuesday, October 11.

The free event is the first since the outbreak of the pandemic and will get under way at 7pm in Bromsgrove School’s lecture theatre.

Attendees will learn essential pet first aid skills which could prove helpful in recognising the symptoms of potential emergencies.

Aimed at dog and cat owners, there will also be advice given on what to do to help an injured or sick pet.

Registered veterinary nurse Emily Ashdown will deliver demonstrations covering emergency situations including cuts, choking, poisons, seizures, stings, and road traffic accidents.

There will also be a chance to ask Emily questions following the presentation and an opportunity to buy a pet first aid kit at £10 each.

Emily said: “Knowing how to potentially save a pet’s life in an emergency demonstrates responsible pet ownership. Vets are the experts but being able to administer first aid yourself could save your pet’s life.”

Email [email protected] to book your place, stating your name and contact number.

The event is for pet owners only and animals can’t be accommodated.
