A HOST of festive fun is promised for Rubery residents as the annual Christmas Lights switch-on returns.
It’s all happening on Saturday, November 25, at its usual venue on New Road from 3pm to 5pm.
The countdown celebrations will begin with street theatre and singers on the main stage, as well as some roaming Christmas Elves and the big man himself making an appearance to greet the children of Rubery.
Cabinet member for leisure, Councillor Steven Colella said: “This wonderful, free event is one of our most popular and is a key highlight in our social calendar, helping families across the district mark the start of the magical Christmas period.”
Coun Esther Gray, ward member for Rubery South said: “The Rubery Christmas Lights switch-on event is a heartwarming tradition, illuminating not only our community but also our spirits with infectious Christmas joy.”
More details of performance times and vendors are available on the council website or the Facebook event pages.
