Children's clothes and baby equipment bargains at new pop-up sale in Bromsgrove next weekend

A NEW pop-up shop selling pre-loved children’s clothing and baby equipment is coming to Stoke Prior Village Hall from 10.30am to 12.15pm next Sunday, March 6.

It is the brainchild of Kirsty Hanley who started a stay and play group called ‘Ginger Bears’ at the hall last year.

One of her reasons for the group was to help her son, who has a hand deformability, to feel included and to form new friendships.

Since then the stay and play has proved very popular and a session for pre-walking babies has also been started.

Some of the parents asked Kirsty if she would do a pre-loved clothes and equipment sale so she set up this one with a view to bringing the community together.

Kirsty said: “It is not only good for our environment by reducing a carbon footprint, it will save people lots of money by not buying expensive clothing and equipment.

“It is thought we spend on average around £10.000 for a first baby in its first year and many items are only used for a few months before they grow out of them.

As well as the 18 parents’ stalls, a local baker will be selling cakes.

Admission is £1 per person, children are free and it is a cash only sale where sellers keep all the money they make.

There is a small car park but lots of on-street car parking – drivers are urged to ensure they park safely.

Kirsty thanked Norman Avery who runs the village hall for his continued support.

Anyone wanting more information can call her on 07966 946688.
