RAP, Rhythm and Rhyme was the theme chosen by Dodford First School for its World Book Day celebrations, writes Caprice Harrison.
Both children and staff dressed up as street dance artists ready to sing, recite and read raps and even create some of their own.
Headteacher Lisa Parkes said there was a big focus of reading at the school.
“The children have been learning ‘The Fresh Prince of Bel Air’ by Will Smith – which has been great fun.”
Other activities included a family reading session where relatives young and old came in and read with their children and an Usborne Books pop-up shop.
