CHILDREN from Jellybabies Nursery and Pre-School have been learning about and celebrating the Chinese New Year which takes place tomorrow (Friday, February 12).
This year is the year of the Ox – as part of their commemorations, youngsters had a Chinese meal and even had a go at using chopsticks.
They wore the Chinese hats they had decorated and have also created Chinese lanterns and taken part in the Dragon Dance.
Children at the nursery, at Longbridge Methodist Church, have also explored Chinese writing and seen how their names would look like if written in Chinese.
And they have learnt about the traditional traditions and customs of the Chinese new year.
