CHILDREN at Jellybabies Nursery at Longbridge Methodist Church have taken part in their annual harvest festival.
In the run up to the event, which was attended by parents, grandparents and church members, the youngsters learnt about caring for others, where food came from and how and where it grew.
As is tradition, the children also brought in donations of non-perishable foods (tins, jars, cereals, pasta and rice) for a local foodbank.
As part of the short harvest service, participants acted out the rhyme of the Little Red Hen and Dingle Dangle Scarecrow/ They were presented with participation certificates afterwards.
Nursery manager Jacqueline Walker said: “It was a lovely event and a great way for the children to learn about where food comes from and how they can help others less fortunate than themselves.”
