THREE teenagers attacked children in Bromsgrove’s Sanders Park on Sunday as they tried to steal bikes.

The trio, who were all white and wearing dark clothing – two of them in puffa jackets – approached the youngsters on the skate park at 9.20pm.

One of them was on a small pink children’s bike when they arrived and that was left at the scene.

The suspects have tried to steal three bikes but only succeeded in stealing one – a grey mountain bike with ‘Claud Butler’ in green writing on the side which had a damaged gear lever.

During the robbery they assaulted two of the victims.

The suspects approached the park from the Willow Road direction onto the park and left going alongside the tennis courts.

PC David Hanson said: “This was cruel and violent robbery of children and their property.”

He urged anyone who witnessed the robbery or who could help identify the suspects or stolen bike to call him on 101.
