THE POPULAR Butcher’s Block on Bromsgrove High Street has so far raised £600 after holding its annual charity day on Saturday.
Lilith and Michelle Holsey-Sheppard put on the extravaganza every year on the anniversary of the shop which this year celebrated seven years in the town.
The funds, which the pair hope will hit £900 in total, will go to Ladies Fighting Breast Cancer, The Basement Project and Sapcote Memory Hub which provides dementia support.
Lilith said: “The response we had on the day was insane.
“We had both Ladies Fighting Breast Cancer and The Basement Project visit us through the day and are pleaded to announce, after making £600 on the day, they are on track to hit £900 by the end of August.”
Michelle added: “Because we choose three charities to support each year, our goal is always to get a minimum of £300 each.
“That doesn’t seen like much but actually can help a lot locally. “
Lilith and Michelle also fundraise all through the year after launching their Sunday dinners on Mother’s Day this year.
Working with The Neighbourhood on Rubery high street, they donate £3 from every Sunday dinner served at their pop-up to local causes.
They take place on the last Sunday of every month, ensuring the money goes back to the local community.
