A CHARITY day will be held at Bromsgrove Rugby Club on Saturday, April 22, in memory of former 1st XV coach Tim Hardwick who lost his brave battle with cancer last year.
The event will raise funds for the Primrose Hospice who tended to Tim in his final few weeks.
A Bromsgrove XV of players – many of whom Tim left an indelible mark on – will play a North Midlands XV preparing for the County Championship in May.
Tim had a wonderful and impressive playing and coaching career representing Moseley, Camp Hill and Woodrush as well as the playing for the Royal Navy.
He coached both representatively for North Midlands as well as at Moseley Colts, Woodrush and with Bromsgrove 1st XV.
Dan Protherough from Bromsgrove Rugby Club said: “It promises to be a great day of rugby and hopefully we can raise funds for a very worthwhile cause.
“Come on down and support a great local charity.”
The club is open from 1pm and the match kicks off at Finstall Park at 3pm.
Hot food will be available on the day.
All are welcome to come down, enjoy a festival of rugby and boost Primrose Hospice.
