A CLASSIC car and bike rally is set to be held at Belbroughton Cricket Club, Hackmans Gate Lane, on Father’s Day next Sunday, June 18.
The family friendly event which will raise funds for Mary Stevens Hospice has been organised by the club’s.
At the event will be a variety of vehicles, including Jaguars, Aston Martins and a whole host of other cars and motorbikes.
After the event was planned, Cadent put up signs saying roadworks would be affecting the road.
Andy Hickinbottom from the committee has got in touch with Cadent which says all the works will be finished by next Friday, June 16, so will not affect the show.
He said: “We are worried people may see the roadworks and signs in the run up to the event and wrongly think they won’t be able to get there.
“But I’ve been assured they will all be completed by then.
“We are hoping as many families come down as possible to make it a really successful event.”
Admission is £2.50 per person and £5 for any enthusiasts who want to showcase their vehicles.
All proceeds will go to the hospice in Stourbridge which helps patients with incurable illnesses and their familes make the most of every moment, providing support and care every step of the way.
The hospice’s care is holistic, supportive and tailored to each individual patient and their loved ones to ensure they can live life to the full.
