THE Campaign for Real Ale have announced it’s official mascot and chosen charity for this year’s Bromsgrove Beer and Cider Festival.
Grace Kelly Childhood Cancer Trust, founded in 2016 in memory of four-year-old Grace who left behind a wish to help other children, will be the charity sponsor.
The Trust funds research into rare childhood cancers, provides support to families, works towards an earlier diagnosis and produces information booklets to give accessible information to families.
The festival logo will be the Bromsgrove Rousler, a mythical devil dog that was supposed to inhabit local forests. The original Rousler was a 19th-century terracotta roof tile that can be found in Bromsgrove Library.
Taking place over three days, Bromsgrove Beer and Cider Festival, launching on June 27, will feature 134 beers and 50 ciders and perries at Bromsgrove Rugby Club.
Coralie Hudson, community & corporate fundraiser at the Trust said: “We are delighted and thrilled to have been chosen as Bromsgrove Beer and Cider Festival’s charity for 2024.
“Our heartfelt thanks for you to CAMRA and the festival team for choosing to support us, helping raise awareness and pledging to make a difference to the lives of local oncology children and their families.”
