Charford play area which was shut after vandal attack has now reopened

Bromsgrove Editorial 11th Oct, 2019   0

A PLAYGROUND in Charford which had been closed due to vandalism has now reopened.

Residents raised the issue of the long-term closure with Coun Michael Thompson who took it up with Bromsgrove District Council.

And with the support of Guy Revans, the head of service, the play area has been repaired and re-opened.

Coun Thompson said: “I was delighted to speed this project up.

“Many parents wrote to me with their frustration about the closure.

“It is important communities have open spaces and play areas – and getting this back was a big priority.

“My thanks go to Guy Revans making this a priority when it was raised.”
