A SCHOOL in Bromsgrove has been presented with a special accolade to recognise the support it gives to the mental health and wellbeing of its pupils, staff, parents and carers, writes Charlotte Tomlinson.
Charford First School was handed the Wellbeing Award for Schools after introducing schemes including ‘Wellbeing Wednesday’, ‘Worry Monsters’ and ‘Calm Boxes’ into classrooms.
Yoga is just one of the activities used throughout the school, alongside outdoor libraries for children to visit at break times.
Craig Hudson, a Wellbeing Governor, said: “Wellbeing is a central thread of the ethos of Charford First School so we are delighted and proud to achieve this award in recognition of this.”
