Chance to dance at extravaganza in Rubery

Bromsgrove Editorial 5th May, 2019 Updated: 6th May, 2019   0

A CHANCE to dance will be given to anyone who wants to take it up at St Chad’s Church in Rubery on Saturday, May 11.

Dancing Through the Decades will start at 10am with performances from the Mini Movers and Mega Movers from Treeance and then from 11am to 1pm there will be music and dancing from the 1920s to the present day.

People are urged to go along, watch or join in to help raise funds for essential repairs to St Chad’s Church.

There has been a church on the St Chad’s site since 1895 – the current building was finished in 1959.

Rev Claire Turner, vicar at St Chad’s said: “Over many decades, St Chad’s has provided space for worship, community activities, public events and more and we want to make sure that the building continues to provide such things in the decades to come. Please to help us do that by coming along to dance through the decades.”

Tickets are £5 in advance or on the door (children are free) and fancy dress is encouraged.

There will also be cakes to buy, a raffle and stalls to keep everyone entertained.

Email the organisers at [email protected] for more information and tickets.
