Cemetery footpaths at St John's Church closed for maintenance in July

Bromsgrove Editorial 30th Jun, 2024   0

POPULAR walking routes through the cemetery behind Bromsgrove’s St John’s Church will be closed for several weeks in July for essential maintenance work.

Pathways throughout the Old Cemetery will be closed from July 1 for the duration of the month whilst significant bus essential resurfacing work takes place.

The work will be completed in sections, throughout the month alternative routes will be needed to avoid closed sections.

Bromsgrove District Council’s interim head of environmental and housing property services, Simon Parry, said: “We apologise for any inconvenience caused by these closures, we aim to complete the work as quickly as possible.”

The work is part of the ongoing Bromsgrove footpath improvement program and follows on from work undertaken earlier in 2024 to the North of St. John’s.

Simon added: “The works represent part of a larger initiative to improve the walking infrastructure of the town through the ongoing footpath improvement programme.”
