POLICE officers investigating the attempted theft of a vehicle in Barnt Green have released CCTV footage of the incident to help identify suspects.
The incident happened on Bittell Road near Bittell Farm Road in Barnt Green on May 11 between 5.05pm and 5.10pm.
The 5 minute video footage shows two men approaching a vehicle parked on a residential drive way.
During the video, one of the men approaches alone and enters the vehicle for a short while before walking off and returning with another man.
The two men then enter the vehicle together, one in the drivers seat and one sat behind in the back.
After a short while the owner was notified by the tracker on his vehicle that someone was in his car. The vehicle owner then proceeds out of his property to disturb the perpetrators who run from the scene.
The two men are seen going back onto Bittell Road on foot before getting into a small black saloon car.
A West Mercia Police spokesperson said: “Whilst we appreciate the CCTV images are not the best in terms of being able to identify the people at the scene of the incident, the footage does show
that there were people walking and driving in the area as the offence was taking place.
Were you passing by this area last Thursday before or after the offence took place and saw anything suspicious?
At the time you may not have thought anything of it, but we are hoping this appeal may jog someone’s memory.”
