Catshill Library proposes to change opening times

Bromsgrove Editorial 13th Jun, 2015 Updated: 17th Oct, 2016   0

CATSHILL residents have been urged to have their say on the proposed changes to the opening times of the village’s library.

Currently Catshill Library opens two mornings and three afternoons/evenings a week.

The plans propose to create an extra morning session in place of the existing Friday afternoon one. The amount of hours will remain exactly the same.

Coun Lucy Hodgson, who is responsible for communities and localism, said: “Our proposal to change the opening hours at Catshill is based on current usage of the library which is indicating a need for us to increase the number of morning sessions.”

She added the change would allow closer working with local school and nurseries.

Residents have from Monday (June 15) to have their say online or on a paper questionnaire, available from the library and school – they must be submitted by July 31.
