Cash stolen as two masked men rob Belbroughton shop at knifepoint

TWO MASKED men robbed a shop in Belbroughton at knife point this morning.

It happened just after 6am at McColls on the High Street.

One was armed with a knife and demanded money which was handed over.

The pair then made off with a quantity of cash and got into a car which was waiting outside.

They drove off via Belbroughton Road.

Both men were white but were wearing hoods up over their heads and faces, along with face masks.

Det Con Martyn Dudley urged anyone who saw the men, witnessed the incident or saw a dark coloured car parked nearby the shop to get in touch.

“A short time before the offence took place there was a WHSmiths van parked outside the shop and after the offence a milk float drove past – we would be very interested in speaking with anyone who was driving past at the same times as these vehicles and also if anyone has any dash cam footage.”

He added fortunately no-one was hurt in the robbery but the shop employee was extremely shaken.

Anyone with any information should call police on 101.
