POLICE officers managed to track down a Volkswagen Golf which quickly drove away on seeing a police car in Bromsgrove.
The vehicle pulled into an alleyway off The Strand and turned its lights off but the patrol still managed to find it.
Checks showed the driver had no insurance and the vehicle was seized.
The motorist can be expecting a £300 fine and six penalty points on his licence.
