AN ELDERLY driver ended up driving their car into a hedge on the A38 in Bromsgrove.

It happened earlier today not far from the town’s police station.

The motorist said they mistakenly pushed the accelerator instead of the brake.

Officers from Worcestershire’s Operational Policing Unit (OPU) have reported the motorist for driving without due care and attention.

The driver did pass the roadside eyesight test and the DVLA medical department has been informed to see if they are still fit to drive.

This video of the incident was posted by OPU.
