THE NORTON Collection Museum is hoping to launch a new information centre for visitors to Bromsgrove and is appealing for volunteers who could help out to get in touch.

The venue wants people who are available on Tuesdays, Wednesdays and Thursdays to help with the venture. There used to be an information centre at the old Bromsgrove Museum but it ceased when the museum closed its doors.

Dennis Norton, from the Norton Collection Museum Trust, said: “When I have been out and about in Bromsgrove and in the museum we have seen a lot of visitors coming to the town who haven’t been here before.

“It would be great to provide a one-stop shop where people can find out about Bromsgrove’s history and get some information about other activities they could do while they were here.

“A lot of the information from the council is available online but there are still people out there who do not access the Internet and when you are visiting a place, there should be somewhere where more details are available.

Anyone interested in volunteering should call Dennis on 01527 919531 or call in at the museum during the opening times.
