A CALL has been made for the government to support hospitality businesses in next months budget after a Bromsgrove firm highlighted the challenges facing the sector.
Bromsgrove MP Bradley Thomas has made the call after visiting Dick’s Smokehouse in Aston Fields where the local MP met with restaurant owner, Richard Wainman.
During the visit, the duo discussed the challenges facing the hospitality sector.
Mr Thomas said: “If you want an authentic American food experience, then get down to Dick’s Smokehouse in Aston Fields.
“And what’s even better is that you’ll be supporting a local, independent business.
“Hospitality businesses need our support now more than ever. The Government must recognise this in its Budget next month and announce policies that will support the risk takers and not punish them as the Government did last year.”
