THE ORGANISERS of this year’s Bromsgrove Festival are urging performers, groups or venues considering putting on activities and events to get in touch.
The four-week programme runs from June 20 to July 19, offering a host of cultural delights, including music of many genres, drama, arts, dance, crafts, exploring heritage, walks, talks and more.
Bromsgrove Festival has been running since 1960, boasting a multitude of performers and genres over the years.
A festival rebrand in 2014 created a ‘try something new’ ethos to encourage people to have a go at, or attend an event, they would not normally.
It is hoped this year’s Bromsgrove Festival will be bigger, more diverse and inclusive ensuring all of the district gets involved.
Bob Bignell, the chair for seven years, stepped down it October and has remained a trustee.
Claire Allington, a trustee of two years, who has taken over the reins, said she was very excited for this year’s festival and hoped to get as many new groups and organisations as possible.
Anyone hoping to hold events as part of the festival should fill out the Proforma form at: bromsgrovefestival.co.uk or submit the information via Facebook @Bromsgrovefestival or email by email: [email protected] to let the organisers know before March 31.
