A POPULAR Bromsgrove butchers is set to celebrate seven years on the high street next month.
Butchers Block, Bromsgrove’s most awarded meat merchant, will celebrate its seventh anniversary in the town on August 1.
Seven years ago, owners Michelle and Lillith Holsey-Sheppard burst onto Bromsgrove High Street with their traditional butchers.
With four different award wins under their belt, an expansion of their private catering and a great reputation for raw produce, the pair have worked hard to bring the town a store to be proud of.
“As we’ve expanded so has the work to give back to the community” said Michelle. “From our annual charity anniversary day, we now donate £3 from every one of our roast dinners to local causes too.”
The butchers have been serving roast dinners on the last Sunday of each month at The Neighbourhood bar in Rubery.
“Things are so hard for everyone right now, no one more so than the independent charities we like to support,” Lillith added. The pair have raised thousands over the years through their charity projects.
Continuing their fundraising efforts, on Saturday, August 2 the butchers will be at Bromsgrove market where 100 per cent of the money taken from street food sales will go into a charity pot.
The ladies are also running a raffle throughout August with entrants in with a chance of winning a £50 voucher to spend in store and a Sunday roast for 2 at The Neighbourhood.
