Bromsgrove's vintage clothing charity shop Déjà Vu set to celebrate its first anniversary

Bromsgrove Editorial 22nd Feb, 2019   0

A VINTAGE Bromsgrove charity shop which raises funds for St Richard’s Hospice will celebrate its first birthday tomorrow (Saturday), writes Henri Bujard.

Déjà vu in Mill Lane gives customers the chance to sell their designer items and earn a percentage back, while still supporting the hospice.

Shoppers can browse and buy during opening hours Monday to Saturday 9.30am to 5pm.

There will be celebrations going on at the store tomorrow which everyone is welcome to.

Dan Corns, St Richard’s Hospice’s commercial director, said: “The year has whizzed by and we’re delighted that local people are supporting us.

“This unique way of selling your designer and high-end, high street clothes through the agency offers a very different experience for St Richards’s customers.

“Proceeds raised by the shop help fund our free care to patients living with a serious progressive illness.”

The independent charity supports more than 3,300 patients and family members each year, and relies on donations for three quarters of its annual £8.8million income, with the NHS providing the remainder of the funds.

A ‘Build 2020’ campaign was also launched to help raise the final £1million needed to complete a £5.3million expansion and redevelopment scheme which will help to support more patients and families in Worcestershire.

The new hospice will see the additions of an exercise studio, counselling rooms, complementary therapy rooms and a ‘reconfigured’ reception area.

Anyone interested in selling their clothing or accessories can make an appointment by calling 01527837863.
