A BROMSGROVE youngster has been named Birmingham Children’s Hospital and Charity champion after her fund-raising efforts saw her collect £500 for the cause.
Ruby Brett, ten, was given the weekly accolade after taking part in the Great Birmingham Junior Run.
Ruby was diagnosed at birth with Tuberous Sclerosis, a rare condition where benign tumours grow in parts of her body.
She is currently on medication to control a tumour on her kidney.
Sporty Ruby signed up to the 2.5k to thank the staff at the Children’s Hospital who look after her.
