A YEAR of fund-raising events and activities by Bromsgrove’s Penguin Office Supplies has seen the town’s Primrose Hospice receive a £1,662 boost.
The firm carried out a charity drive on World Penguin Day, where they gave a percentage of their orders to the charity, organised a ‘Pounds for Primrose’ campaign and director Chris Hopkinson undertook a high adrenaline Wing Walk as part of the hospice’s corporate challenge.
Penguin was also an also active sponsor and promoter of the Primrose Hospice Summer Fete in June, which was a huge success, raising record-breaking figures.
Chris said: he was overwhelmed with the support the company received and the total raised exceeded all expectations.
“If you’ve ever visited Primrose Hospice you will see and feel what a special place it is. Hospices are often thought of as a place full of sadness, but Primrose is a happy place, providing day patients a place to enjoy and celebrate life.”
He added a particular highlight for him personally was winning the ‘outstanding moment’ award for his charity wing-walk which he said was ‘an incredible experience’.
He thanked all the customers, suppliers, friends and family who had given so generously.
