BROMSGROVE’S D-Day veteran Albert Malin got together with the town’s Royal British Legion members at the stunning poppy wall ahead of Remembrance Sunday.
The display has returned this year on the wall of Bromsgrove Methodist Church, Stratford Road.
Albert was just 17 years old when he was tasked to be on a small ship that brought the bodies of the fallen back from the D-Day beaches 80 years ago this year.
In a bid to raise awareness of this year’s Poppy Appeal, Albert was joined by Bert Sherwood, RAF historian Jon Taylor, appeal volunteer Lee Kiteley and Bromsgrove Town Crier Kevin Ward.
