Bromsgrove's Meadow Park Women FC urging players to join them for training to celebrate International Women's Day

Bromsgrove Editorial 8th Mar, 2023   0

BROMSGROVE’S Meadow Park Women’s Football Club is encouraging those aged 16 and over to attend their training session tonight to celebrate International Women’s Day.

The session will take place between 8pm and 9pm at South Bromsgrove High School.

Training provides women of all ages, abilities and backgrounds with a chance to socialise, build self-confidence, make friends, keep fit and have fun at the same time.

Managers and the club secretary are also on the lookout to fill the position of coach which is open to those able to invest skills, expertise, progressive support, and positive development for the team.

The gateways to further education, outreach and funding for girls/women only teams in the UK have opened following the success of the Lionesses in Euro 2022.

It has proven through recent years of football’s female representation, that it is no longer a male dominated game, and has motivated the array of women who turn up week in and week out to commit to weekly training and Sunday league matches.

The women of Meadow Park FC said they were proud to be a part of this movement.

Call Rowanne on 07788 979997 or contact the team via the club’s Facebook page at facebook.com/MeadowParkLadies for more information on joining the team, or coaches wanting to apply their abilities for their local club.
