BROMSGROVE’S Liberal Democrats have selected a consultant neurologist to stand as its Parliamentary Candidate in December’s General Election.
Dr David Nicholl, a neurologist for the last 17 years, has spent the week campaigning to local businesses.
Residents may recognise Mr Nicholl, who lives with his family in Hagley, after he appeared on Newsnight earlier this year.
He spoke about the risks Bromsgrove patients faced if there was a no-deal Brexit.
“Now I’m calling for Bromsgrove to vote for me as I have a proven track record of success,” he said.
“I have regularly taken on the establishment and the Conservatives.
“For example when they tried to flog off our school’s gym or rip-off pharmaceutical companies who elevate the price of medications; even the Leader of the House of Commons Jacob-Rees Mogg was forced to apologise to me.
“As your Liberal Democrat MP I will fight to stop Brexit and support good quality public services which Sajid Javid’s government has consistently cut.”
Residents are being invited to meet Mr Nicholl at Bromsgrove Sporting on Tuesday, November 5 at The Studio.
The meet and greet will start at 7.30pm and will give residents a chance to hear what Mr Nicholl has to say about his campaign, whistleblowing activities and the impact of leaving the EU.
