Bromsgrove's free parking success will see council reopen town centre multi-storey

FREE parking in Bromsgrove aimed at enticing shoppers to support local businesses has proved so successful the district council will be reopening the Churchfields multi-storey car park from tomorrow (Friday).

Opening hours have also been extended to ensure the town centre does not get overcrowded in the interests of social distancing.

Bromsgrove District Council leader Coun Karen May said: “I am delighted that people are choosing Bromsgrove to complete their festive shopping and this is why we decided to open the multi-storey.

“But we must remember we are in Tier 2, we must use face coverings where possible, sanitise or wash our hands regularly and keep a social distance by taking advantage of extended opening hours.”

The multi-storey car park will also be free.
