A BROMSGROVE woman has been that inspired by Nordic Walking as a way of improving fitness she has now become a fully-fledged and qualified instructor.

Elaine Griffiths became a voluntary walk leader under the guise of Ian Northcott BEM who owns and runs Mercian Nordic Walking.

Elaine said: “When I started Nordic walking in July 2015 aged 63, I had no idea it would change my life.

“I first trained as a walk leader and after doing that I realised I wanted to become a fully qualified instructor – I am proud to have achieved this.”

Ian added: “I am pleased Elaine has taken this decision to make a difference to people’s lives.

“She has her own business but advertises her walks under my website – I am honoured to be associated with such an inspiring lady.”

Elaine is currently offering free taster sessions and runs classes in Bromsgrove and Redditch.
