BROMSGROVE’S Walking Sports Centre has been raising funds to help the people of Ukraine.
The Bromsgrove Cricket, Hockey and Tennis Club and Ryland Centre which host the walking sports have provided the venues for free meaning all cash used to pay for sessions will go to the cause.
Alan Gormley, who runs the Walking Sports Centre, had the idea after speaking to a friend whose wife is Ukrainian.
He said: “What’s happening in Ukraine is horrendous and we just wanted to do something to help.
“We’ll probably raise around £500 by the end of the week.”
