'Bromsgrove truly comes alive during the festive season' - District Council Chairman's Christmas message

Bromsgrove Editorial 24th Dec, 2023   0

IT’S A SPECIAL time of year and I absolutely love the celebrations happening throughout our district.

From the twinkling Christmas lights to the enchanting choirs, bustling markets, and heartwarming church services, Bromsgrove truly comes alive during the holiday season.

I feel incredibly fortunate to call this beautiful place my home.

Since taking on the role of chairman seven months ago, I have had the privilege of supporting AGE UK Bromsgrove, Redditch, and Wye Forest. The dedicated staff at AGE UK work tirelessly to ensure that our loved ones can live fulfilling and independent lives. I want to express my heartfelt gratitude to AGE UK for their invaluable contributions to our community.

I also want to take a moment to recognise and pay tribute to the unsung heroes of our community – the volunteers. Whether they are involved in the arts, music, sports, culture, heritage, charity or business services, these individuals selflessly give their time and energy to make Bromsgrove a better place for all of us. Their passion and dedication inspire us all, and I want to extend my deepest thanks to each and every volunteer in our district.

During this festive season, it is important to remember those who sacrifice their own celebrations with family and friends to serve our community. To the police, fire service, healthcare employees, and public transport workers, I want to express my personal gratitude for your selfless service in Bromsgrove. Your dedication and commitment to keeping us safe and well are truly commendable.

As we bid farewell to this year and welcome the new one, I wish you and your family a year filled with love, joy, and happiness.

May the spirit of Christmas continue to shine brightly in your hearts throughout 2024. Merry Christmas and happy new year.

Coun Sam Ammar,
